2010 Jamboree: July 26 - August 4, 2010

On July 23, a select group of 208 Scouts and 25 Adult volunteer Scout leaders will depart to represent Atlanta at the 2010 National Scout Jamboree.  For the next two weeks we will be enjoying Scouting at its best as we celebrate the 100th anniversary

Southern Baptists elect Bryant Wright as next President

Bryant Wright, senior pastor of the 7,600 member Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, Ga., won the run-off election for president of the Southern Baptist Convention with 55 percent of the vote. More than 7,660 messengers voted during the June 15 election at the 153rd annual meeting of the SBC at the Orange Country Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

NRA smallbore light Rifle tournament on range MP2 on Saturday morning, August 7th

This is a reminder that River Bend Gun Club will host an NRA smallbore light Rifle tournament on range MP2 on Saturday morning, June 5.  The course of fire will be 60-shots, any sights, 50 feet, standing.
